Rhino Dream

so im flying through the sky not a care in my mind. the world is a blue marble under me. im in the stratosphere baby. i gracefully swoop back down through the ozone layer and position myself over africa. Next thing i know im naked, all my teeth are falling out and im running through the bush with ten spitting cobra's chasing after, and gosh darnit wouldnt you know it, i left my protective googles at work. im running with hands securely clenched across my face, the loss of eyesight would be a TRAVESTY! i can feel danger all around. Ten thousand creatures wanted a piece of me...wanting the whole kit and kaboodle (sp)? im leaping senselessly and spastically (i hate snakes) i open my eyes for a quick look at where im at and spot a tree 15 yards north. but god damn shit fuck ass wouldnt you know it. its an acacia tree covered in thorns...i cant climb that shit. and you couldnt either. the mighty zeus himself couldnt so calm the heck down. back on the legs then running from nothing. creatures snarling and howling after my flesh. terror all around. im not talking about running a red light stealing a pack of gum from the corner store im talking real terror. my legs keep moving and the sweat keeps pouring. I reach a group of trees that i think i can get lost in. maybe hide out a bit, rest my weary limps. they are big trees, bigger then any trees that exist on this planet, and i should know (i grew up in the redwood forest above santa cruz and its home to the biggest tree on the planet, look it up) i circle one tree and it seems to last a life time. i keep running and running and running and yet there is still new bark to see and roots to leap over. finnaly i came to a dead stop. i can feel eyes on me, big eyes. i turn and look and see a big grey ghost eating me with his eyes. two black eyes and one big horn pointed right at yours truly. i knew death was close. i didnt mind. i was happy. everything felt nice. he was beautiful and charging in a glorious stride and i was naked about to die an amazing death. no lung cancer, no car accident, no suicide, no murder, no falling down stairs, no drowning in the pacific. just me and a angry male grey rhino in the serengeti. fuck it...it was a good run.
